New Job- A fantastic opportunity to join a fast-growing business within the world of brands and marketing, based in Soho.
Our client provides essential marketing industry intelligence via a unique mix of technology, content and expert advice and is searching for a Client Business Development Manager to join their team.

They are launching a new client product which will enable brands to access unlimited agency content, archived case studies, white-papers and thought leadership from across the industry, and subscribe to bespoke content sent to them weekly or monthly. It will also give brands access to a suite of tools that enable them to select and appoint agencies quickly and efficiently, and manage the process online.  The candidate’s role will be to recruit new brands to the platform, on a paid-for basis.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in a sales (ideally phone-based) role. Interest and overall understanding of the marketing/advertising industry is beneficial, but not a requirement.
Key responsibilities include:
• Contact new customers on the phone (marketing directors predominantly) to inform them about the new client product
• Answer questions about products and/or the company
• Ask the right questions to understand customer requirements and close sales over the phone, or arrange follow-up call where appropriate
• Direct prospects to a client relationship manager where appropriate
• Enter and maintain customer information and interactions in our database
• Keep records of calls and sales and note useful information

Key skills/Requirements
• Proven experience in telesales or similar sales/customer service role (phone-based)
• Proven track record of successfully meeting sales targets preferably over the phone
• Commercially-minded, target driven
• Experience using a CRM system
• Ability to learn about products and services and describe/explain them to prospects
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills
• Positive attitude and able to handle rejection
• Good negotiation skills
