NEW JOB- International Sales Account Manager (events) needed to develop and maintain a portfolio of key client led partnerships
with the aim of generating revenue for an established and premier event in its genre. You will be responsible for the timely delivery of individual targets through the sale of exhibition space, partnership marketing solutions and bespoke client events.

The role’s primary objectives are focussed around effective account management and new business development. The emphasis is on face to face sales and this is exciting opportunity for someone wanting to excel in this type of sales environment. The role will primarily be looking after international customers and will require international travel, attendance at evening networking events and key international industry events. More specifically goals will be:
a) Maximising revenues from existing and lapsed clients
b) Identifying, sourcing and maximising revenue from new business opportunities.
c) Establishing, maintaining and improving relationships with existing, new and lapsed clients.
d) Understand and becoming a part of the industry.

Key Accountabilities
Sales and Account Management
 Ensuring all stand revenue, yield and sponsorship targets are achieved.
 Researching, identifying and canvassing appropriate data sets for business development.
 Identifying sales opportunities and effectively presenting key features and benefits of exhibiting.
 Build relationships with key customers at all levels, understand their needs and build solutions that meet with their goals.
 Maintaining all records on salesforce ensuring that all individual and company details are correct and up to date.
 Working effectively with all team members to ensure delivery of all team objectives.
 Delivery of all activity KPIs as set out by line manager, sales trips, appointment targets, lead generation etc.
 Accurate and timely sales and activity reporting as requested by line manager
 Creation of bespoke packages in line with exhibitor needs.
 Pursuing/nurturing and maintaining effective relationships with key industry suppliers and exhibitors.
 Accurate floorplan management and ongoing communication of floorplan development with internal team.
 Effective selling ensuring optimum use of space.
 Contributing to the timely delivery and effectiveness of exhibitor and visitor promotion campaigns.
 Helping in the delivery of events as required.
 Attending industry events in the UK and overseas as required.
 Immersion into the UK meetings industry including participation in the life of key industry associations.

Knowledge
 Thorough understanding USP’s and benefits of own and competitor products.
 Ongoing monitoring of competitor offerings as well as ongoing monitoring of new clients and industry developments for business development.
 Understanding market trends, issues and developments and how these relate to sales opportunities.
 Account management of key target accounts.
 Ongoing account management of all confirmed exhibitors to update on key show developments and to early identify potential problems that may arise.

Key Skills & Knowledge
Essential
 Proven sales and negotiation skills.
 First Class communication skills- written and oral and demonstrable fluency in English. Additional languages are an advantage but not essential.
 Face to face sales experience.
 Proven ability to cold call and develop new business.
 Ability to build effective business relationships.
 Meetings industry experience/knowledge or exhibitions experience.
 Flexible approach to working methods and hours of attendance (a travel schedule within the UK, Europe and ROW will be a feature of the role.)
