This is a rare opportunity for an up and coming Audience Development Manager to take their next step and play a pivotal role in the continued growth of a market leading TV and entertainment content platform. This digital product suite reaches a broad audience and offers consumers a cutting edge mix of TV and entertainment content, as well as market leading listings and TV planning tools.
The platform has seen huge traffic growth across all channels over the past 12 months, and now our client is looking for a talented individual to help us to take that growth to the next level. The addressable audience is vast and there is the potential to become one of the UK’s biggest entertainment websites. This role will be key in helping to deliver continued audience growth via content marketing, SEO, email and social media in order to achieve its digital potential.
Reporting, benchmarking and monitoring - expertise in using Google Analytics and Data Studio, you’ll provide insight to the business on performance on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. You’ll maintain a suite of monitoring processes to ensure that KPIs are being hit on search, email and social.
Provide analytical support - providing expert analytical support to allow the brand and commercial teams to identify, report and monitor the right KPIs to meet the business objectives. Importantly, you’ll have the ability to interpret and tell the story behind the numbers.
Developing content marketing strategies across all channels - formulating strategies to hone and continually optimise the channels where performance is strong, as well as identifying and exploiting growth opportunities for, particularly around search, email, and off platform (AMP and IA).
Identifying and assessing growth opportunities - you’ll play an integral role in assessing audience growth opportunities through search, social or content strategy
Working closely with product and commercial team - understanding and supporting the commercial objectives and maximising the ability to deliver this. Working with product teams to formulate product development plans to help achieve audience growth ambitions.
Driving innovation - in a fast growing landscape your natural curiosity will keep you abreast of the latest audience development techniques, and your expertise the ability to judge which to adopt, and which to ignore.
A natural curiosity for and engagement in audience development and SEO practices, with specific application to digital consumer media
The TV & entertainment sector is a fantastically vibrant and exciting one in which to work. The successful candidate will have huge enthusiasm for and interest in our sector, with a natural interest in and knowledge of the dynamics influencing how customers are choosing to spend their leisure time. Enthusiasm and interest both for the programmes they watch, the ways in which they consume them, and how they use social media and other tools to enhance their viewing would be a considerable advantage
A proven track record of audience development in a digital consumer media context.
The successful candidate will have expert analytical skills, with advanced level experience of using Google Analytics and Excel to understand and interpret performance data.
The successful candidate will have experience of formulating social media and content marketing strategies, ideally in a consumer media context.
An ability to think creatively to resolve problems and to communicate effectively with people from widely different technical backgrounds.
