A global independent provider of business intelligence and insight, specialising in the financial services sector. global independent provider of business intelligence and insight, specialising in the financial services sector. The Business Development Manager will have a proven track record of successful new business B2B sales and will be responsible for representing our client focusing on providing New Business Revenue.
Through it’s daily news website and weekly magazine our client delivers in-depth coverage of the latest sector developments and people moves, as well as detailed analysis, market intelligence and reports, along with a programme of free events. 
 
Key responsibilities for the role include:

  • You will be responsible for sourcing and closing new business opportunities for the organisation through new business means such as cold calling, emailing and setting up meetings.
  • Managing and developing your revenue stream through established pipeline
  • Accurate monthly forecasting
  • Developing your understanding of the products, competitors and clients to enable maximised sales and revenue generation.
Ideal candidate will possess the following:
  • Previous experience in B2B sales/desire to enter into B2B sales
  • Previous sales experience working within the financial services market, specifically with investment organizations would be an advantage. Recruitment or Events Sales experience also welcomed.
  • Strong presentation, communication, negotiation and closing skills 
  • Highly developed business acumen and the ability to understand the wider issues of the industry
  • The ability to identify new revenue opportunities and maximise product potential
