NEW JOB_ We are seeking a Client Relationship Director to join our clients HQ team based in Chancery Lane, London. One of the pioneers of NewLaw, established for over 10 years. they provide a genuine alternative career path for senior in-house counsel and offers interim legal and consulting solutions to FTSE 250 Clients and SMEs.
We are looking for an individual who is results orientated and has a proven track record in building and nurturing new client relationships. This is a senior role and requires the individual to be creative in their approach and work autonomously whilst also working very closely with the management team, interfacing at Board level.
The main focus is on achieving new clients and excelling in client relationship management in order to meet or exceed targets through the fulfilment of the Corporate client sales strategy. The role also requires a constant level of contact with all our clients, both active and inactive, conducting quarterly meetings to develop and enhance relationships. You will broaden our clients brand and increase their impact with all key contacts in each organisation. You will create, manage and close a pipeline of new business opportunities, which will contribute considerably towards the growth expectations.
Conduct oneself in a highly professional and ethical manner, adopting behaviours that enhance the reputation of our client. Provide input into the future vision of our client including new markets, new products, new customers and new ways of doing business.
The team are always looking at how we can work smarter and more efficiently, so there is opportunity to further evolve the current sales and client management programme. You will also manage direct report(s) so having managed a small team will be
advantageous but not mandatory.
The team are active participants at industry events (as delegates, speakers and sponsors), you will also attend these events to grow the network and attend client meetings.
The role will include:
Engage with and maintain our key client accounts and relationships;
Plan and prioritise activities and devise a client contact strategy that achieves agreed business goals
Plan and manage a business portfolio using your sales and business development skills (and network) to identify and contact potential new clients;
Monitor market and competitor activities, provide relevant feedback and adapt approach to continually win business
Attend network events and other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development
Work closely with the Senior Legal Resourcing Manager to find solutions for client requirements and close down opportunities
Attend meetings, follow up on leads, introductions and market intelligence to maximise sales opportunities
Prepare pitches, respond to RFIs/RFPs and presentations to support the above
Use the CRM system to actively manage and track new and existing client business.
Manage lead generation through effective collaboration and management of your telemarketer
Targets, Commission and KPIs based on conversion of leads and generation of new business will be set to measure and reward the performance of this role.
To fulfil this role we are seeking a proactive, tenacious and professional individual. Ideally you will have at least 8 years’ experience in a sales environment and experience in the Legal professional services sector would be highly advantageous.
A proven ability to sell solutions in a B2B environment to senior stakeholders is essential. You must be keen to build and develop client relationships and demonstrate a track record of consultative selling.
We need an individual with excellent time management, communication and presentation skills. You must be a resourceful self-starter who is adaptable and able to manage their own workload. Good judgement, excellent attention to detail and the ability to solve problems will be vital your success in this role.
