We have an exciting new opportunity for a Membership Events Sales Executive to join our clients marketing team based near The Barbican. The Membership Events Executive will work with the marketing team to recruit and manage member attendees for summits, private dining and breakfast events across Europe and the US.
Our client  is a global independent provider of business intelligence and insight, delivering content and events as well as performance data and investor data.
 
The Membership Events Sales Executive will work with the marketing team to recruit and manage member attendees for summits, private dining and breakfast events across Europe and the US. They will need to develop and foster relationships with key clients and work with the membership team to identify and nurture non-member leads.
They will manage all aspects of member attendee marketing and recruitment including web listings, telemarketing, email invitations, data research and list management. They will also act as a single point of contact for event registrants, managing all queries and regularly communicating with members to ensure a high turnout at each event. They will also be responsible for encouraging clients to enter our industry awards throughout the year.
 
Role purpose:

  • To recruit existing members to summits, private dining and breakfast events across Europe and the US
  • To be a main point of contact for members attending these events
  • Help to grow the member community, providing excellent client experience
  • Develop and demonstrate a sound understanding of our customer base and industries
Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure events are scheduled appropriately
  • Add and manage event websites listings with up-to-date information
  • Work with sponsors to understand their requirements and attendee expectations
  • Build invitee list for each event to fit objectives and attendee profile
  • Invite attendees via marketing emails, phone calls and other marketing channels
  • Brief in data research requests as required to broaden reach and ensure campaign success
  • Develop relationships with clients both pre- and post-event
  • Attend events to help onsite management and network with clients
  • Manage registrations and provide weekly updates vs. targets to the team
  • Work with editorial and sales to identify new membership leads to invite
  • Ensure there is a robust process in place for passing non-member registrants/attendee leads to the membership sales team for follow up/conversion. Report on non-member conversions
  • Support award entry marketing campaigns at busy periods by calling to encourage clients to enter
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, with the ability to build a rapport with clients
  • Confident telephone manner
  • Organised and able to work under pressure whilst delivering to tight deadlines
  • High level of attention to detail with the capacity to put together persuasive communications on behalf of the business
  • Passionate about success and delivering consistently excellent results
  • Experience in community management is desirable
