Fabulous role for a Sales Manager with experience in the business intelligence sector based in the heart of London.
Our client s a business intelligence company formed in 1998 and has grown to become a leading information provider within its core markets. They provide high-value, specialist business information delivering key information to defined target audiences through news content, events and data products and employ over 300 staff globally.
The Sales Manager is responsible for executing on sales and go-to-market strategy for a business development team. Working on our clients fasting growing brand, the Sales Manager will oversee a team of three new business sales representatives, located in London and New York, who sell directly to Asset Management firms and Investment Banks. The Sales Manager will be expected to lead from the front and actively close deals themselves while being targeted against a team revenue goal and tasked with developing talent and delivering results. This role reports into the Head of Sales.
The Product
The research platform provides access to a full research portfolio, consisting of 13 portfolio management titles. Within each title you can find articles that cover a variety of investment topics.
The Job
  • Directly manage a team of three sales representatives and work towards hitting monthly and annual revenue targets
  • Work with leadership team to review and refine product positioning and pricing strategies
  • Monitoring competitor products, sales and marketing activities
  • Perform weekly pipeline reviews and performance reviews with his/her sales representatives
  • Direct sales forecasting activities and ensures sales representatives are meeting their Key Performance Indicators
  • Connect with key clients, assisting sales representative with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.
  • Review and analyse sales performances against target and plans to determine effectiveness
  • Work closely with marketing department, recommending marketing strategies and continuously review and improve campaigns
The Requirements
  • Proven track record of business intelligence subscription sales
  • Experience of working as a senior individual within a sales team
  • Ability to develop an expert understanding of the brand and target market
  • Understanding of asset management preferred
  • Experience of managing a remote team preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • A problem solving and creative mindset
  • Proven track record in training and developing a sales team, proven effectiveness in mentoring and coaching
