NEW JOB: Our media client is in search of a focused VP Sales Leader, that embodies account management and leadership in equal measure, to join their rapidly growing video content team!

The VP Sales will be based in New York and will focus on sales in the USA and Canada.  As a group wide role, the VP Sales will report to the Group Director of Strategy who is a company board member. The VP Sales will also work closely with the Managing Director.

The VP Sales will:
• Drive new sales from content distribution business.  This business is based around a content aggregation platform and the creation and servicing of branded distribution platforms for a range of global companies including Lamborghini, adidas, Volvo, PWC, and Allianz
• Develop fresh strategies
• Build sales from corporate production and professional services
• Develop and implement strategies and partnerships for a growing portfolio of B2B and B2C digital channels

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and deliver on short term sales plans for the US-based sales team and work with the Group Director of Strategy to produce long term sales strategies for all products and services. 
• Recruit, build, motivate and manage a US-based sales and account management team.
• Work closely with the Group Director of Strategy and Managing Director of our company to set team and individual KPIs and ensure that they are met.
• Work closely with the Group Director of Strategy to set team and individual KPIs for the company’s other products and services and ensure that they are met.
• Produce weekly reports on sales for each product set, and on individual and team performance against targets.
• Work closely with the Chief Product Officer to ensure that products and services best meet the needs of the market and identifies and exploits new product opportunities quickly. 
• Work closely with the group Marketing Manager achieve the best possible marketing support for all products and services.
• Ensure the retention of existing clients and existing revenues. 
• Develop relationships with existing clients and build revenue from them.
• Work closely with the technology and production team to deliver accurate costings and achievable proposals.

Experience:
• 10+ years’ experience of sales and account management within the media industry.
• Extensive experience of selling to enterprise level business in the USA.
• Experience of account management and/or leading combined sales and account management teams.
• Thorough knowledge of media production and the media landscape.
• A good understanding of digital channels and corporate communications.
• A knowledge of the PR industry would be an advantage.
ADDITIONALLY
• Extensive experience of revenue responsibility and reporting.
• Demonstrable record with complex sales, cross selling and up-selling.
