Are you a confident and experienced Business Development Manager with the ability to, close sales, hit your targets and build a pipeline? Can you take on board a new brand with a successful backstory and translate that into new business, hitting key sales milestones as you progress into the role? Can you step up and be a key figure in promoting our our clients Private Markets offering to an industry that’s driven by results? If that sounds a bit like you, then we should talk.

Our client is a leading provider of business intelligence, data and insights on the global asset management industry. They provide high-value, specialist business information to niche target audiences in the alternative and traditional fund management industries and employ over 450 staff globally with the head office based in London.

What you’ll be selling

The platform delivers capital raising professionals at asset management firms intelligence on institutional investors who are a fit for their funds. This proprietary intel on both public and private investors looking to allocate capital comes packaged with a comprehensive directory of deep dive profiles on those investors, in addition to unique insight into how competitor funds also in market have performed and are being positioned.

What you’ll be doing

We’re looking for people who know how to close a sale. As a key figure in the sales team, you’ll be selling a leading platform. You’ll be working from a database of warm leads, as well as generating your own pipeline – you will be selling to B2B clients globally over the phone and face-to-face.

Your other core responsibilities, will look something like the following:

  • Attending specific industry events for networking and brand development
  • Working with editorial & membership teams to identify new opportunities for sales
  • Staying on top of your admin to ensure follow up calls and to complete the sales process after you’ve closed
  • Proving your worth through your ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Taking the opportunity to build the team and develop additional responsibilities
  • Working towards a range of pre-discussed targets, to hit get your rewards.

The skills and experience you will need to thrive in this role

  • We’re looking for convincing candidates who can demonstrate the following aptitudes and experience:
  • A confident, positive and intelligent approach to sales
  • Proven sales experience, combined with a successful track record in business intelligence or hedge fund sales
  • Competitive spirit, passion and enthusiasm, both for the role and to achieve your goals
  • Experience of and enthusiasm for working in a target-driven environment
  • Sound organisational skills to keep on top of your leads
