 THE ROLE

 You will be joining a highly productive development team, developing integrations that enable client acquisition and retention. You will be part of a growing development team in a friendly and agile environment, taking part in daily scrum and review meetings; during each Sprint the successful candidate will be responsible for the development and implementation of existing and new integrations with partners and merchants, working closely with the Team Lead and the Technical Business Analyst this is a chance to participate in projects that involve cloud-based technologies and microservices

 RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reports to the API Integration Team Lead
  • Works closely with the Tech Lead, Business Analysts and Product Managers to accurately interpret technical specifications, exploring solutions, providing estimates of development effort and refinement of user stories
  • Develops new integration solutions and unit tests for partners and merchants with Azure Cloud services and Microservices architecture, exporting data from one system to another, transforming data where needed and helps to maintain existing solutions
  • Develops and helps incorporating automated acceptance tests to ensure the solution is working as required
  • Collaborates with members of the QA Team to ensure solutions are tested and maintained to a high standard
  • Takes part in code reviews
  • Achieves an understanding of all services and helps with problem fixes
  • Troubleshoots 3rd level support issues in production and identifies root causes
  • Participates in sharing of knowledge with colleagues, group activities like demos, tech specs meetings and provides constructive feedback

 REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & BEHAVIOURS

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and Experience
  • Proven experience integrating with third-party API’s
  • Strong knowledge of RESTful web services and API Security (OAuth)
  • Solid knowledge of software engineering best practices: object-oriented design and implementation, SOLID principles, Agile and Scrum
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in C#
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in T-SQL
  • Understanding and working knowledge of JSON, XML, DOM
  • Demonstrable experience with Git
  • Keen desire to learn and share knowledge

 DESIRABLE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience with Microservice architecture, Message Queuing, Cloud technologies
  • Experience documenting in tools such as Postman, Swagger, Lucidchart
  • Experience with DevOps
  • Experience with Entity Framework
  • Exposure to TDD
  • Knowledge of GraphQL
