Our client provides exclusive editorial, research, data and events for senior executives within the asset management industry. Across hedge funds, private credit, real estate and traditional asset management, their editorial brands are seen as market leaders in providing asset manager sales and IR execs with the actionable information they require to help them raise and retain assets.
To maintain and grow their leading position in the market they need to continue to hire highly motivated, thoughtful and inquisitive journalists to ensure their subscribers are getting the exclusive intelligence they need first, and most comprehensively, through our range of services.

They are is looking for a bright and enthusiastic Reporter to join their seven-strong team of journalists covering the activities of a broad range of institutional investors across Europe and the rest of the world. The role is ideal for a journalist looking to build their financial reporting experience working for an established global media brand and wanting to cultivate fruitful relationships with some of the most influential investors in the world.
We need reporters hungry for news, who will come in and hit the phones to uncover exclusive information for #subscribers and build strong relationships with industry execs. Reporters should be comfortable interviewing senior investment staff at large allocators and pressing them for valuable intelligence. European language skills are a big plus.
You’ll be working as part of a fast-paced news team, with daily news conferences and story targets to ensure our client is providing asset manager subscribers with the actionable intelligence they need, ahead of the game. 
You’ll be liaising with editorial and research colleagues across the global footprint to track the investment decisions of the world’s largest and most sophisticated investors, including European public pensions, corporate schemes, endowments, foundations and sovereign wealth funds.
The target audience for the coverage is primarily asset raisers at asset management companies and industry service providers, as well as investment consultants, institutional investors and wealth intermediaries.

The Responsibilities

• Regularly break news on the activities of institutional investors
• Build relationships among the investor community by working the phones, arranging in-person meetings, and attending industry events
• Be ahead of the game in uncovering significant investor trends and writing insightful actionable intelligence on such activities
• Harnessing our own proprietary data and third-party data to build narratives and add vital context to articles
• Stay on top of wider industry trends impacting hedge funds, real estate fund managers, traditional asset managers, private credit and private equity managers
• Travel occasionally to cover industry conferences and build contacts

The Requirements

• Reporting experience and/or journalism training and a desire to build a career in financial/business journalism
• Ability to break exclusive news and write compelling and insightful analysis
• Analytical and comfortable working with data
• Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to learn quickly
• European language skills a big plus- ideally fluency in French, Spanish or Italian
• Good networking skills and a track record of developing useful contacts and sources
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Knowledge of investing and asset allocation strategies is a big positive
