Our client is hiring a Senior Investment Performance Data Analyst to lead Reporting and Analysis of alternative investments data. The applicant will be a self-motivated and analytical leader and a team player with the ability to identify
process improvements and enhancements to improve quality & efficiency. We are happy to consider candidates who may wish to work part time or with other flexible working arrangements.
Our client provides exclusive editorial, research, data and events for senior executives within the asset management industry. Across hedge funds, private credit, real estate and traditional asset management, their editorial brands are seen as market leaders in providing asset manager sales and IR execs with the actionable information they require to help them raise and retain assets.

Key Responsibilities for the role: 

• Analysis and reporting of investment performance data for a range of alternative funds/managers and investors
• Conceptualisation, creation, publication and periodic re-balancing of custom client indexes as well as providing a quality control function for custom reports/analysis produced by a team of 6 analysts
• Independently performing tasks related to performance reporting and validating performance data
• Investigating and resolving performance reporting issues
• Ensuring relevant data integrity and data quality controls are in place
• Managing & escalating any potential issues

Qualifications:

• Minimum 8-10 years of professional experience within financial institution (preferably portfolio performance function at a hedge/PE/VC fund)
• Good understanding of performance measurement/attribution and index building methodologies/calculations
• Excellent analytical background in the financial services industry with some operational experience
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, and strong written and verbal communication skills required
• University degree or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of investment and financial products
• Solid English communication skills
