The role
We are looking for an experienced IT engineer to join our client as a Senior Systems Engineer. You will have responsibility across a multitude of tasks within managing and defining the technology infrastructure of the business, ensuring a successful IT service to all employees. They have seen incredible growth over the last few years and will continue to see this with the exciting future ahead within Retail Media. They trust their employees and give everyone responsibility from day one, which means you will have more freedom to act quickly & develop IT solutions that will support their infrastructure throughout this growth. We are really looking for someone that will thrive within an agency environment, where we are able to impact multiple projects at one time.

What you'll be doing

They pride themselves on creating challenging and exciting opportunities, meaning that no two days are the same. However, here's an idea of what your responsibilities will look like:

• Maintain essential technical operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware.
• Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
• Pro-actively identify and flag any potential risks or challenges, ensuring quick solutions are put in place.
• Own projects, solutions, and key responsibilities within a larger business initiative.
• Handle business-critical IT tasks and systems administration.
• Administer our Google workspace and Office 0365 tenancies.
• Research and evaluate emerging technologies, hardware, and software.
• Analyse department needs, identify vulnerabilities, and boost productivity, efficiency, and accuracy to inform business decisions.
• Conduct regular system audits.

What you'll need to have / be

• Substantial and proven experience working in an IT function at this level or at a comparable level.
• Comfortable with using and supporting Apple devices.
• Experience in delivering ISO27001 or Cyber Essential certifications.
• Experience working with large scale technology projects.
• Solid experience of working with the Microsoft and Google 'stack' in particular Active Directory, Windows Server, and GAM.
• Experience with Atera RMM toolset.
• Solid networking knowledge, (OSI network layers, TCP/IP) experience with Sophos firewalls would be desirable.
• Experience with Virtualization technologies: VMware, Citrix, and Hyper V.
• Experience with Remote access solution support: VPN and Terminal Services.
• Experience of delivering security improvements including technical changes, training and awareness raising.
• Strong organisational and time management skills as well as effective communication and collaboration skills.
• A solution-focused mindset, with the ability to problem solve to deliver an excelled user experience.
• Microsoft MCITP or equivalent qualifications would be highly desirable.
